The Ladies Talk Money
HOUSE RULES
(a.k.a. our Community Guidelines)
At Ladies Talk Money, our mission is to start open and honest conversations about women and money. From our free online platform of videos and articles to our social channels, we aim to create safe and inclusive spaces that encourage productive discussions and remove the stigma, stereotypes and structures that are keeping women from true financial equality.
We care about keeping our community free from online bullying, harassment and trolls. Our Social Moderation & Community Guidelines outline what behaviour we do and don’t accept from those who engage with all of our channels (including our website and social media accounts).
Please take the time to read and review our Code of Conduct to see how we’ll be moderating our community. Like any online community, this is our promise to do our utmost to keep it safe for you, and for others.
If you have any concerns about something you’ve seen or heard in our community, please get in touch with us at → hello@ladiestalkmoney.com.au
Our Code of Conduct
The Ladies Talk Money community encourages inclusivity and diversity and does not tolerate discrimination against anyone on the basis of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religious beliefs or socio-economic background. We encourage our community to use inclusive pronouns (they/them/theirs/folks) to ensure we don’t make assumptions about gender (feel free to share your pronouns!). We won’t tolerate or ignore any disrespectful, discriminatory, aggressive, offensive, untruthful, dangerous or other anti-social behaviour. And if you want to play devil’s advocate - go find another community.
Any community member found to be acting in a way we deem offensive, disruptive, unreasonable or not conducive to the free exchange of experiences and ideas will be removed and/or blocked from the Ladies Talk Money website and social channels at our discretion.
We ask our community members to be courteous and respectful of each other when interacting in the comments of our posts. Healthy debate is encouraged, but discrimination, bullying or harassment will not be tolerated or ignored.
As we work in the financial services sector, we are bound by the TPB Code of Professional Conduct and the FASEA Guidelines, meaning we will not, and we cannot allow others to post any material that breaches confidentiality or privacy or is easily identifiable.
Any finance information provided on this platform is general advice only, and does not take into account your personal circumstances or needs. You should always reach out to us, or seek personal professional advice, before making any financial decisions.
A word on ladies*
*Ladies Ladies Talk Money aims to tackle some of the issues around financial inequality that exist for those who do not identify as men, and we hope to create a space that is inclusive of all women-identifying, trans and non-binary people.
We also acknowledge that ‘ladies’ has connotations of women who are ‘refined’, ‘softly spoken’ and ‘polite’ - we are not trying to be any of those things. Rather, we are hoping to reclaim the word ‘ladies’ for people who are having unapologetic conversations about money.
All of this is to say that, if you feel that you would benefit from the insight and financial information included in this community, then we warmly welcome you to pull up a chair!
